Hi, I'm Alex.
Thirty years in cloud and infrastructure. Currently working on what breaks when software is written by agents.
I spent fifteen years building SaaS products and product organizations — VMware Cloud on AWS from zero to nine figures at VMware, then product management teams at HashiCorp, Splunk and Cisco. Before that I came up through the infrastructure stack: helpdesk, pulling cable, field consulting, architecture.
Now I run a hands-on consulting practice focused on AI-assisted development. I build real production systems with agent tooling, find out where it breaks, and teach the methods that work in production. I live in San Carlos, near San Francisco, CA.
Where I've been.
What I'm building.
Open-source security scanner that grades a deployed web application A+ through F.
Maven course teaching PMs and founders to build production-ready SaaS with AI tooling.
Working proof for everything I do, built end-to-end with the same methods I teach in my classes and I use in my consulting.
Blog posts about AI, PM craft, and enterprise adoption. Author of Why We Fail, a book on enterprise private cloud adoption.
How I work.
Outcomes over output
We measure cycle time, quality and customer impact — not how many tools got installed.
Tools serve the team
AI should remove toil people already hate, not add a new process to babysit.
Leave you independent
Every engagement ends with your team owning the workflow, not me.
